The above ISOs (from cdimage.debian.org) fail during install due to
some .deb packages being corrupted.
Which link did you use?
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/archive/3.0_r6/i386/iso-cd/MD5SUMS ,
for instance, is sha1.
