Why Jigdo???? It is slow, it jams, Why using this nonsense to get a DVD-iso while the rest of the world is using Bittorent, FTP en P2P.

Because it is resonably fast, it works, and does not require the servers to carry the isos.

But it requires that the servers carry the debs which are used in the jigdo image. I had various Sarge-DVD jigdo's (and at least one Woody-DVD jigdo) which failed to build the image because of missing debs on the servers. The only way to fix that was to use snapshot.debian.org and manually download the packages from there.

Soon as I finaly get this DVD (probably by buying it in a store) I want to dump a bunch of bittorent files on the web. Cause if you read all forums on the web it seems that I'm not the only one who has a problem with Jigdo

I wouldn't know. I've never read a web forum on this, I find them highly inconvenient for infromation exchange.

I agree, mostly. But I also found various problem descriptions regarding jigdo (usage and failing .jigdo files) when researching my own problems on the web.

Now, the real problem has been that cdimage.debian.org has not had the space for all those dvd isos, we are talking about several hundred gigabytes. We're looking forward to solve it shortly though.

I sure hope so. It would be really nice to see at least the official release DVDs as edonkey and/or bittorrent sources.
