Because it is resonably fast, it works, and does not require the servers 
to carry the isos.

I wouldn't know. I've never read a web forum on this, I find them highly 
inconvenient for infromation exchange.

Now, the real problem has been that cdimage.debian.org has not had the 
space for all those dvd isos, we are talking about several hundred 
gigabytes. We're looking forward to solve it shortly though.
