There's a similar problem in sys/sys/filedesc.h reported as #686402 - another kernel header. Could we likewise change u_long -> unsigned long? Doing so would revert part of 'style bug' commit by upstream to its previous form.
Definitely we can ;-) IMHO it is the best option we have. Petr
