It's relatively easy to take a BSD bootloader and make it into a
SYSLINUX “COMBOOT” module, or a multiboot “kernel”; I happen to
have made both to the MirBSD one, I suppose you could do the same
to the FreeBSD one, or use a (possibly patched?) GNU GRUB.
