Bug#948110: Please provide options to exclude files from installed image

Package: debootstrap
Version: 1.0.116
Severity: wishlist

Please consider providing options to exclude files from the installed
image using --path-exclude (and keep them that way via dpkg
configuration in the bootstrapped system). That would make it easier to
install a small system image that (for instance) excludes documentation
or locales.
