Bug#926903: Installation-report addition
Hi Ben,
Success! Booting up on the Dell U2414H now has the screen centered.
GUI windows and fonts are a little erratic.
a) tty1-6 now has smaller (regular) font
b) MATE Terminal, emacs and pluma have regular fonts
c) Xemacs, XTerm & UXTerm have small windows with small font
Tried to run the command again and the response was:

So I now have a decent monitor display on the Dell but the older Acer
X223w still plays up. The screen has shifted to the left by 10% so
the Mate menus are largely hidden.
I doubt there are many users with such ancient monitors but Debian is
used by many downstream distros and you may wish to find a solution for
the problem. If so I will be happy to cooperate. Otherwise you may
consider the report closed.
