I'm wondering whether we should actually make this the default instead
of vt102?

I've been trying with qemu's internal console for instance, it works way
better with ansi sequences.  AIUI, I'd say ansi is much more recognized
as a standard than vt102?  The installation manual currently explains
that when using QEMU/KVM, one can start it inside screen, but that
doesn't actually solve the issue.
