Bug#623410: installation problems with squeeze

> If you have RAID partitions on any of the disks can you try with a empty disk without previously created RAID/LVM partitions?

It works but with some problems.
   * I deleted the partition table using dd
   * I tried to install but I get the following error (I am attaching
the partman and syslog from this), though at this point the partition
is recreated

âââââââââââââââââââââââ⤠[!!] Partition disks ââââââââââââââââââââââââ
     â â
â Unexpected error while creating volume group â
â Autopartitioning using LVM failed because an error occurred while â
â creating the volume group. â
     â â
â Check /var/log/syslog or see virtual console 4 for the details. â
     â â
     â <Go Back> <Continue> â
     â â
     ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ

   * I then reboot and try it again but this time it installs fine.

So the steps seem to be, clear partitions, try to install but get an
error, and then reboot and try again and this time it works. I can
recreate this scenario over and over if I remove the partiton table
first.

For my previous problem of disks not being detected, I just noticed
that the installer doesn't actually detect the disk at the point in
time when I am looking for them.
