It's just not 'possible' to setup RAID in the new d-i. It
takes ages, a lot of special knowledge is needed, and you
can't do everything from the d-i (you have to do a lot of
things manually in the shell on the second VC).

Hi all,
since this BR was opened a lot have changed in the installer.
From quite a while, and on the current d-i release (Debian Squeeze RC2), it is
possible to setup RAID in the default (text) interface and in the graphical
interface.
All operations are made with the user interface and it is not required to do
it manually on the secont VT.
Hence, i am closing this bug report.
Any issues you find please report against current debian installer version.
