Comments/Problems:

First, I must apologize : I have postponed this report for many
excellent reasons and now it may be less usefull and less accurate it
could/should have been.

1°) Partman is a nightmare ; I was misled by some woody stuff : I
expected to find cfdisk as an alternative and because it wasn't
available (not on NetInstall ISO anyway), well, it has been more tough
than it should have been.
I had to try and play to make Partman "deductions" fit with what I want.
Nasty, really.

2°) Still tricky with some interfaces configuration (2 on my box : an
embedded Marvell with "sk98lin" module and my old faithfull 3c905-C-TX
from 3com with classic "3c59x" module). On of them was not properly
detected at first. forgot which, silly me... :-(

3°) The only real bad point was about some HW detection. As you could
have seen in my lscpi ouputs, something is still undetected.
it must be the embedded sound chipset from Via (VT8237 ??).

I'm willing to help with newer versions of discover if needed.

Hope the little I brought helps, one more time (never enough) thank you
for your time and for your dedication.

Best Regards,

Yoj'

We are closing this installation report for one of the following
reasons:
- it was reported with a pre-lenny version of Debian
  Installer.
- indications in the installation report give the feeling that
the reported problem waslying in another software, unrelated to
D-I, which we can't easily identify.
- indications in the installation report suggest that it may have been
fixed in a more recent version of a D-I component
- it was successful and we forgot closing it..:-)
- it has no information we consider useful

The D-I team is currently in the process of cleaning out the old spool
of installation reports that haven't bene processed yet.

In case you think that the problem you reported has chances to be
still present, please reiterate your installation test with
a more recent image of D-I, if you're in position of doing this.

You'll find daily builds at
http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer. We recommend you choose
the netboot image, in the "daily builds section", then choose to
install "squeeze" when prompted.

If some problems are found, please report them with a new bug sent
against installation-reports.

Many thanks for your understanding and your help improving Debian,
past and present.
