Yes,fakeRAID metadata is stored somewhere close to the end of the harddrive, and is used by dmraid to figure out what your raid setup is. Approximately "dmraid -rD" generates three files, from this we can extrapolate metadata, and with a hex editor we can add the fake signature to the qemu/virtualbox drive Giuseppe.
