Bug#497110: improved dmraid support in D-I

In an effort to reduce the indentation in my MUA for this thread I'm
starting from the top :-)

I've done some testing using Giuseppe's businesscard image in VirtualBox
and based on the results I've made some additional changes. The end
results of the tests are excellent:
- I have seen no problems at all in the new libparted support
- with some additional changes dmraid support in partman is now clean
and without hacks; partitioning of a dmraid device can now be done
just like it is a regular disk; the dmraid-udeb is no longer needed
- support in grub-installer is still a hack, but works

Based on these results I would suggest to go ahead and try to get these
changes merged for Lenny. This means the following actions are needed:
- get an OK for the change in devicemapper from maintainer and RT
- get an OK for the change in parted from RT (and maybe check that the
patch will also get accepted upstream?)
- get updated devicemapper and parted uploaded to unstable
- commit changes in D-I (I have them in a git branch)
- upload updated D-I packages
- test dmraid, in emulator and preferably also on real hardware
- get Guido Güther to also test multipath as code is related in a number
  of places

Note that IMO we should make sure that we give proper credit to Luke
Yelavich (who did the work for Ubuntu) and Ubuntu in the changelog
entries.

I will follow up to this mail with some details of my test results and
additional changes.

Cheers,
FJP
