That's only when changing kernels, and should even then be fairly 
exceptional. I expect that when the whole ATA implementation has settled 
down, the old-styly device names will be fairly stable again.

What I'm talking about here is: if I reboot the system with the same kernel, 
do I run the risk of device names changing on me. AFAIK that only happens 
when disks are on different controllers.
