People have talked about using rdate before, but I don't know how it would work exactly. What server would rdate be pointed to during the install? There's no pool.ntp.org eqivilant for rdate afaik. It seems easy enough to work on implementing time syncing in the install first and only ask for the udeb of the tool we pick when we have working code. -- see shy jo
