Mini-installation worked, I am not sure where the syslog saved to.
Installation chose the correct adatpor

I will be re-installing sometime later this week. Too many odd minor events
eg
- crontab -e calls up mc not vim
- iceweasel has died on me on various occasions
- Printer is not properly integrated
Nothing I can write a bug report on but do not want to fix each item,
instead will be reinstall and pay more attention to the installations

Many thanks
