Comments/Problems:
It detected both wired and wireless ethernet interfaces. I tried to do the install via wireless but it would not connect. After the first try with wireless failed, used the landline.
After the installation, tried to use the wireless, but its still not connecting. Installation seems to have found the right wireless card (Broadcom BCM43xx) but I really haven't spent any time trouble shooting, yet. Will work on it some tonight.

Thoughts… it takes a L-O-N-G time to install all the gnome packages!
I made a post on forums.debian.net, installation about how to make the USB bootable. The key: use knoppix or some other live CD to edit the /boot/grub menu.lst and domain.map files to flip flop hd0, sd1 to sd0, hd1 before booting with the stick.
