Bug#380058: (no subject)

Hi,

With 14/02/07 Netinstall Debian testing debian-testing-amd64-netinst iso initrd is now generated without any errors.

and i've found the sda/sdb reverse problem :

Dell PowerEdge 1950 server  has  a virtual floppy detected and attached as scsi removable disk to /dev/sda.

So Megaraid sata is attached as /dev/sdb. Once install finished and first reboot executed boot hang because initrd want to mount sda letter.

To fix it :

- after keyboard selection switch into vt2 with ctrl-alt-f2
- type : modprobe -r usb_storage ; modprobe -r megaraid_sas ; modprobe -v megaraid_sas ; modprobe -v usb_storage.

after that hard disk is mapped to sda and virtual floppy to sdb and there are no more problem with installer.

or maybe (not tested) just disable usb_storage module at installer boot grub prompt.

regards,

Cédric Lagneau
