Base System Installation Checklist:
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it

Initial boot: [o] my first burn of the mini.iso didn't boot at all, but I blame that on a faulty blank-cd
Detect network card: [o]
Configure network: [o]
Detect CD: [o]
Load installer modules: [o]
Detect hard drives: [o]
Partition hard drives: [EO] see below
Install base system: [o]
Clock/timezone setup: [E] the clock is off by 85 min. running "apt-get install ntpdate ; ntpdate" didn't help: "no servers could be reached" - but here is no outgoing firewall... 0.debian.pool.ntp.org closes connection via tcp on port ntp
User/password setup: [o]
Install tasks: [o]
Install boot loader: [o]
Overall install: [o]

Comments/Problems:

Wow! g-i looks really great now! Very nice colors and the progressbar and the debian-banner also look very nice!

The partitioning felt a bit more buggy than in d-i (?)! Nothing which could not be resolved with going back and forth, but I didn't have these issues with d-i. One thing I had more than once, is that the main partition was not selected for being used. It was marked as free space and there was no partition selected at all.

Nice to hear about a successful g-i installation on PPC :)
I wonder if you could build cdebconf-gtk-udeb from svn and check whether issues realted to wrong default selection in partitioner are solved or not.

cheers

Attilio
