Base System Installation Checklist:
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it
Initial boot: [o] my first burn of the mini.iso didn't boot at all,
but I blame that on a faulty blank-cd
Detect network card: [o]
Configure network: [o]
Detect CD: [o]
Load installer modules: [o]
Detect hard drives: [o]
Partition hard drives: [EO] see below
Install base system: [o]
Clock/timezone setup: [E] the clock is off by 85 min. running "apt-get
install ntpdate ; ntpdate" didn't help: "no servers could be reached" - but
here is no outgoing firewall... 0.debian.pool.ntp.org closes connection via
tcp on port ntp
User/password setup: [o]
Install tasks: [o]
Install boot loader: [o]
Overall install: [o]
Comments/Problems:
Wow! g-i looks really great now! Very nice colors and the progressbar and the
debian-banner also look very nice!
The partitioning felt a bit more buggy than in d-i (?)! Nothing which could
not be resolved with going back and forth, but I didn't have these issues
with d-i. One thing I had more than once, is that the main partition was not
selected for being used. It was marked as free space and there was no
partition selected at all.
