Comments/Problems:

Initial boot from DVD worked fine. Selected Country (Canada) and language (American English) fine. Failed on trying to find and mount the DVD. Put the DVD media in the second drive and selected the Search for CD drive option. Still could not find the drive. Got to the "Detect and mount CD drive" screen. The installer would not go any further. Although it did not "freeze" as such it did not allow me to go any further.

The Sarge kernel probably does not properly support your hardware. This is
a known issue, listed in the errata for the installer [1].
Please try one of the images listed at [2], which install Etch, but have a
more recent kernel.
You may need to use the workaround listed at [3] to get your DVD drive
recognized.

Closing this report as Sarge not working with your hardware is kind of
expected. Feel free to file a new report for the Etch installation.

Cheers,
FJP
