samba, winbind, nfs, lpd (or lpp? don't remember) and one or two others
that I don't remember anymore. now that you reminded me of the above
list, the listening ports were those of a file [samba, nfs], mail
[exim4] & print [lpd(d?)] server I think..

while writing this message, I tried to install from scratch, using the
same netinst image. no ports were open. weird?
