thanks for another fast response. unfortunately, it didn't come to me to
note the services, and I uninstalled all the services that I thought
might be related to the open ports. the ones I remember are

cupsys or lpd
samba
winbind
nfs
portmap

reason I suggested them to be closed is because I would imagine it is
easier to connect and exploit open ports of a freshly installed system.
