From what I can see from this mail, I tend to agree :)

Can you please point us to the relevant bug numbers (or give a usertag-link)?!

I would suggest that we briefly discuss this as a small topic in the upcoming 
d-i meeting on irc - unless we agree beforehand via mail that all those 
changes are good and no further discussion is needed :)
