Play the game again.
Play it as a game with no rules.
Nobody did forbid you to take notes, to write down the exact message, nobody.
Take your time to do another install.
Take your time to make notes about it.
And especially take your time to tell us what you have expirienced.
Describe your hardware, say which version of d-i you use (state the URL)
Tell/explain which keystrokes you use to start the installation.
(mention that you are installing from a USB thumbdrive )
Report the succesfull steps, then where it fails.
(saying what went good, indicates at which point the failure occures)
Pay special attention to report the error message.
Keep smiling, you are playing.
Looking forward for the report.
