Root Device: Seagate 40 GB Ultra-DMA-100 IDE HDD
Root Size/partition table: 15 GB Windows XP partition (hda1), 24 GB Root
partition (hda3) an 1 GB swap partition (hda5)

Comments/Problems:
The installation hangs after downloading and istalling the packages for
the base-system with the message dialog "Set up users and passwords -
Installation failed!". By choosing this step of the installation menu
manually, I get the same failure. The last messages at console three are:
"Fetched 3514kB in 29s (118 kB/s), Reading package lists..."
This failure is reproduceable.
