You're using a previous banner I did? Why did you
prefer this one? Was it the shadow for the swirl and
"debian" that were more contained, and their
highlight? After comparing the two, I'm thinking that
perhaps the shadow I did on the recent banners was too
far apart, making the all the content seem to hover to
high.
Or perhaps, you prefer a less strong red? I think that
this strong red (from the swirl's red) comes out
really strong when there is a large area of it, to the
right of the word "gnu/linux". That's why originally I
tried putting "gnu/linux" in the bottom right, which
made it look really better. Why not use this last
idea? Or why didn't you like it? Please help me, as
I'm wanting to learn, and also have doubts about these
things.
I really like the background color you have in the
screenshot. It's not as contrasting as white ("my
eyes!", users would cry when they first fire up
d-i!!:)) , and a lot better than gray.
