At choice of country would be very strange as the installer does not touch
keyboard configuration at that time.
Are you sure it is choice of country? The first screen shown is choice of
language (just making sure).
If it really is choice of country, does the system hang _before_ you can
select a country (which would be really, really strange) or _after_
selecting a country.
Is it always the same moment that the keyboard becomes unresponsive?
