Can you give more information on that?
How did it "stop"? Can you switch consoles using alt-F3 or alt-F4? What
are the last messages you see?

That is nonsense. The CD station is just locked because something is still
using it. The usual culprit if you use KDE is the fam daemon.
Try executing '/etc/init.d/fam stop' (as root) before you try to eject the
CD. After that you can '/etc/init.d/fam start' the daemon again.
