Bug#310472: (forw) Re: Bug#310472: debian-installer: standart kernel 2.6 have dc359 module but there isn't such module for linux26
Forwarding this to the bug log. Bozhan, please write to
310472@bugs.debian.org rather than privately, if possible.
When you are in the installer, whhen the message about not finding a
HD appears, have you tried to switch to VT2 and then use "modprobe
dc395" ? Then re-switch to VT1 and try to continue.

that is all about
i find this module in standart kernel so i decide to ask is it posible
to be included in
installer ... i didn't find where to ask and filled this bug.
sorry for typo in subject it is dc395 not dc359.
in kernel before 2.6 this module missing and can be compled with patch but
module is aviable for 2.6 kernels.
there isn't much inforation in internet about this adapter. and
specialy for running this adapter in debian.
this is the main reason that i was forced to use mandrake before 2 years.
but now i want to use debian.
module name in madrake is dc395x_trm, but in 2.6 kernel is dc395x
this is discover-data
1de1 Tekram Technology Co.,Ltd.
1de10391 scsi dc3x5 TRM-S1040
1de12020 scsi tmscsim DC-390
1de1690c unknown unknown 690c
1de1dc29 unknown unknown DC290
and may be this is the problem.
Module exist in debian 2.6 kernels.
