Configure network HW:   [ E] wouldn’t load Realtek 8139 NIC. Insmod said device was in use. Rebooted after adding 8139too to /etc/modules and config’d /etc/network/interfaces and then success

Comments/Problems:

 

I like the installer much better than Woody. It’s a lot easier to follow…. Like partitioning and formatting the hdd.

Still installs packages that I don’t need (portmap, nfs-common, pppoe) but I removed after install.

 

Install logs and other status info is available in /var/log/debian-installer/.
