Base System Installation Checklist: [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it
Initial boot worked: [ O] Configure network HW: [ E] wouldn’t load Realtek 8139 NIC. Insmod said device was in use. Rebooted after adding 8139too to /etc/modules and config’d /etc/network/interfaces and then success Config network: [ O] Loaded 3com 3c59x card ok Detect CD: [ O] Load installer modules: [ O] Detect hard drives: [ O] Partition hard drives: [ O] Create file systems: [ O] Mount partitions: [ O] Install base system: [ O] Install boot loader: [ O] Reboot: [ O]
Comments/Problems:
I like the installer much better than Woody. It’s a lot easier to follow…. Like partitioning and formatting the hdd. Still installs packages that I don’t need (portmap, nfs-common, pppoe) but I removed after install.
Install logs and other status info is available in /var/log/debian-installer/. Once you have filled out this report, mail it to submit@bugs.debian.org.
