Hello,
first of all, thank you all @ the debian family for this fantastic work.
Im not a big computer guru but here a description of my problems, resolved and not.

I'm using a pcmcia network adapter and was reconised, but i allways had to do a "dhclient" so that my card (eth1) 
was configured, eth0 is used by the firewire port. Now i replace eth0 with eth1 in /etc/network/interfaces by
hand (eth0 was original state)

I also have a problem with alsa on my laptop and on a second computer, after the installation, if i click on
the sound simbol on the gnome taskbar i got an error. But cant help you more with this case.
