Bug#278403: install: dhclient does not renew lease
Package: install
Severity: important
dhcp lease expired in the middle of the install. Connection dropped. Not
suspecting dhclient, I rebooted and ran aptitude again. The finished
system also has a misconfigured dhclient, so I'm restarting it manually
every three hours until I figure out how to configure it.
/etc/dhclient.conf has only commented out lines?
Install disk was netinstall CD daily snapshot 20041024, I think:
http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/daily/i386/
Hope this helps. Sorry, if not. I'm no expert.
And now how do I save and exit this vi thing? Aaaaaaargh!
Five years of emacs. Never needed vi before. Thanks a lot!
