A quick update before I fall asleep.. - I'm still holding the final build of the initrds, currently this is waiting on a few packages (lowmem) to finish building on all arches (s390). The only other potential blocker at this point that I am aware of is a possible new upload of console-data, and potentially some hppa 2.6 stuff. - Most udebs have been synced to testing now[1], and rc1 and pre-rc2 are probably broken by this. - I'll be pushing new uploads of udebs to testing as I see fit, probably quite conservatively. We should try to avoid diverging unstable and testing's versions of d-i though, so don't upload massive changed to unstable or anything like that. - We are finally (!) able to put source packages for udebs into testing. This is in process and will be done soon. This was a major release obstacle now resolved. - We're officialy behind schedule as of today, but I don't feel we're too far off from a release. - Bubulle has started working through testing every language with complete install tests and is documenting the results in the release-checklist file. With a nearly final d-i release ready, now is a good time to go through that checklist and make sure everything still works and any problems are documented. - Subersion is in worse shape than usual (down a lot) and we seem to be missing CIA and sometimes commit mails. This makes it harder to track everything that's going on, so we need to devote more effort to communication right now than usual. -- see shy jo [1] http://people.debian.org/~joeyh/d-i/testing-summary.html
