Hi Erinn,This is most probably due to the fact that SILO is not happy when the root partition is in the beginning of the disk and is larger than 1 GB. Possible workarounds are to create a small /boot partition in the beginning or to keep the / partition under 1 GB. Could you please try this and see if it helps?
