INSTALL REPORT

everything like Bug #246975, but: kernel 2.6

(BTW: both #246975 and this report refer to an
installation of _testing_)

Debian-installer-version: http://people.debian.org/~joeyh/d-i/images/daily/netboot/2.6/
   dated 01-MAY-2004

two bugs:

1. network interface eepro100 was not detected automatically.
   After selection from a list of available modules the
   installation continued w/o problems, except:

2. Cycling VC4 -> VC3 -> VC2 -> VC1 left the display on VC1
   severely garbled and unreadable. No idea how to 'repair'
   this. Just hitting 'Enter' displayed new messages, but as
   black text on black background, so I had to restart the
   installation.

Second try finished flawlessly except for 1. above and a few
untranslated messages, like with the 2.4 kernel

  Herbert
