Using the netboot files 'initrd.gz' and 'linux' as of 13-OCT-2004 from http://people.debian.org/~joeyh/d-i/images/daily/netboot/debian-installer/i386/2.6/ worked fine: all bugs reported in 246999 are fixed. Found a different bug that I will report about separately. Herbert
