I'm of two minds about this. I'd love to see partman-auto have support for recipes with lvm, because I would like to be able to get rid of autopartkit, possibly. On the other hand, if I'm installing a system with d-i, I probably don't want to use lvm. I prefer to keep my systems simple and I don't need the complication of lvm on them. This is a personal preference, and maybe I shouldn't be using the autopartitioner. But if lvm support is added, we need to at least consider giving users the option of profiles that don't use it. -- see shy jo
