Bug#255189: partman-auto: should use LVM

Package: partman-auto
Version: 20040617
Severity: wishlist

The one remaining advantage that autopartkit seems to have over
partman-auto is the creation of partitions like /home on logical
volumes. It would be great if partman-auto would automate this,
since users add harddrives over the lifetime of a machine and it
would be convenient to just expand /home in this situation.

My advice would be everything on LVM except for /boot, and if /boot
doesn't exist, then except for /.

Thanks,
