A few notes, more or less in order:

(1)     Since my last bug/installer report (#250763, "installation report (d-i 20040522)"),
there has been no change in regards to the non-detection of the built-in SATA
controller *and* of my TV-Wonder/VE.  As it stands, two months after I reported
this, D-I still does not pick up some well-known hardware (TV-Wonder/VE), when
the kernel obviously supports it and when one can make the card work perfectly --
after one has downloaded all the proper documentation, of course.  Otherwise,
everything seems to be ok in the h/w detection side of things.

(1.5)   the observations above (in (1)) apply to both TC-1 and the 2004.06.12 snapshot.

(2)     While the "apm" module was loaded, apmd was not. Curious.  I had to apt-get it.
