(Sorry for the heavy cross-posting, but I think this is relevant for all
addressees.)
I have written some scripts on one of my servers at home that will
automatically build the manual if any changes are committed to SVN.
Starting today, the scripts will run at 02:00 UTC on Tuesday, Thursday,
Saturday and Sunday.
Because the scripts are independent from the build/build.sh script, changes
there will not automatically be reflected in the build process.
The build/buildone.sh script _is_ used.
The functionality of the scripts is:
- - do 'svn up'
- - rebuild the manual for all languages that have changes (all architectures)
- - calculate translation statistics
- - create a new index.html page (including translation statistics)
- - upload all changes to alioth
- - mail a message with build results for each language that was build
(including a log if the build failed)
I have created a list with address(es) to mail per language:
en debian-boot@lists.debian.org
cs kurem@upcase.inf.upol.cz
da debian-l10n-danish@lists.debian.org
de debian-l10n-german@lists.debian.org
el debian-l10n-greek@lists.debian.org
es debian-l10n-spanish@lists.debian.org
fr debian-l10n-french@lists.debian.org
it debian-l10n-italian@lists.debian.org
ja nabetaro@mx1.avis.ne.jp
nl debian-l10n-dutch@lists.debian.org
pt_BR debian-l10n-portuguese@lists.debian.org
If there should be changes in this list, please mail me.
Only Greek (el) is not yet build as not all files are present.
The calculation of the translation statistics is based on the number of lines
in files that have been translated. Only lines that contain text that needs
translation are counted (for example empty lines and lines containing only
tags are discarded).
Note that if a file is only partially translated, all lines in it will count
as translated. Also, the statistics don't show if a file has been translated
but is not up to date with the English texts.
Comments and suggestions welcome (please CC debian-boot).
Cheers,
Frans Pop
