sarge-business-card net installer image halts

I have now tried the net image as opposed to the cdrom image at the
boot prompt.  (the cdrom image had problems with the 8139too module)
The net image finds the 8139too module, I can download the packages, get
through the partitioning (which doesn't accept the partitions I don't
want touched very well) but when I get to the
Prompt Default=Install the base system> 
nothing.  I hit enter, I just get the same prompt back.
I hit 16 the menu item for install the base system, nothing, same
prompt.  

What should I do next?
