Well, I don't see a reason why whiptail cannot use gettext, it will not
touch libnewt as such.

Translating buttons using debconf templates is what I've been thinking
of as well. Yay, nice templates "cdebconf/ok", "cdebconf/cancel"... :-)

<Next>/<Back> is what RH netinstall uses, IIRC. And, you know, the
button texts aren't fixed in libnewt, they are however fixed in
whiptail. I intend to change the newt frontend to say <Next>/<Prev>
instead of <OK>/<Cancel>, because I think it makes more sense.
