bootfloppies on DECstation 5000/125

Hi!

I've just tested the boot floppies. System is a DS 5000/125
with serial keyboard LK401AA attached, 16MB RAM.

1. Booting via graphical console (PMAGB-B) results in an Oops
in default_be_board_handler().

2. Booting via serial line, I get as far as formatting the
freshly partitioned 3.1GB HDD:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Creating Ext2 filesystem (for 2.2 and newer kernels only)...
mke2fs 1.25 (20-Sep-2001)
Filesystem label=
OS type: Linux
Block size=4096 (log=2)
Fragment size=4096 (log=2)
354112 inodes, 708171 blocks
35408 blocks (5.00%) reserved for the super user
First data block=0
22 block groups
32768 blocks per group, 32768 fragments per group
16096 inodes per group
Superblock backups stored on blocks:
        32768, 98304, 163840, 229376, 294912

Writing inode tables: 1/22
Could not write 8 blocks in inode table starting at 33212: Attempt to
write bloc k from filesystem resulted in short write
--------------------------------------------------------------

The system freezes here, without an Oops:-(
