Bug#109455: dhcp non-functional 3.0.11
The failure is reproducible for both dhcp-client and also the version of
pump from 'sid' that I manually copied to the installation system's hard
drive.
My normal Debian 'sid' system works fine on the same connection (cable,
NIC, etc.) using pump.
Thus, the *only* difference is boot-floppies. I conjecture it is a
kernel problem, but I haven't found a fix yet.
I will do further testing tonight... I'm going to run the install on my
normal system just to double check it's not a weird motherboard<->NIC
problem regarding DHCP-type traffic. But my skepticism about that being
the problem is very high.
Cheers,
