One thing occours while using debian 2.2r0 bootdisk, I remember:

If you insert any other disk than root in your drive, the second try
will fail, even if it is the correct disk. You have to boot again.

Dont know, if this is the same with actual boot-floppies. Will test...
If this is still a bug, who is to blame? Kernel? Boot-floppies?
