   a) potato is Debian 2.2. Debian 2.3 (woody) will not be releasing for
      quite a few months.

My apologies, a typo. I meant Debian 2.2, frozen.

boot-floppies fail to install. That is what my bug report is about.
It looks to me from what you have said that the bug tracking and
fixing system has failed and that a problem with boot-floppies failing
to install has fallen through the cracks.

Yes, it happens that this failure is due to a dependency on tetex-bin.
This means the bug fix mechanism goes through you to tetex-bin. You
as well as I need to talk with them.

Yes, please contact the tetex-bin people, as I also have done.

My point is, here is a bug for *boot-floppies* that depends on a bug
in tetex-bin getting fixed. The tetex-bin bug report on it is over
two months old. Perhaps the tetex-bin people would have fixed it
earlier if they had realized that boot-floppies depend on it. As it
is, it looks as if the problem with boot-floppies failing to install
fell through the cracks and was getting forgotten.
. That is what bugs me (if you will pardon the
expression).
