I now can definitly confirm this error. I fetched the rescue-image again
from ftp.de.d.o .../disks-i386/images-1.44/compact/rescue.bin
I dd'ed it again on several floppies and I tried rawrite on a
windows-machine. Everytime I tried to boot from these floppies I got an
'crc error'.
