Bug#60928: boot floppy can't made

Same thing here with 2.2.8-2000-03-09. Inserted floppy, pressed enter
and the install hangs. Switched to VT3 (Alt-F3) and noticed:

Mar 29 10:20:41 (none) user.info dbootstrap[30]: no file '/instmnt/dists/potato/main/disks-i386/current/images-1.44/rescue.bin' found, kernel not in default location

followed by a number of cardmgr messages.

I installed from a FAT16 partition on the hard disk with a full mirror
of the 2.2.8-2000-03-09 boot floppies. Thing is, I didn't put it in a
standard location but in e:\debian\2.2.8-2000-03-09. Installing base
and drivers works fine, that is just hitting the enter key and letting
the installer do the dirty work is okay.

Could it be that when making the boot floppy, the installer is looking
in the wrong place? Seems far fetched to me but I thought I'd mention
it anyway.

BTW, installing is getting to be more of a breeze each time I try.
Keep up the good work!
