How did you request for no modules to be installed? You only did not configure
any modules to be loaded, unless you know of some other menu I have not seen.
Using the menu Configure Device Driver Modules does just what it says, it sets
which modules to force load using /etc/modules. For modules that the user does
not want to force load, they should not select them here but instead put them
in a file under the /etc/modutils directory after installation is finished.
They then have to run update-modules. To automatically delete the modules not
selected in the Configure Device Driver Modules menu would be a very bad thing
in general. I hope what I said above makes sense (it is late when I am writing
this).
