I see from 2.2.12 Configure.help the CONFIG_SCSI_MEGARAID option for "AMI MegaRAID support". Moreover, the stock kernel image for i386 supports it: CONFIG_SCSI_MEGARAID=y If this is just a question of a kernel not working, there may be a bootarg you can use.
